From its humble roots as a small home bakery, Sugarcraft Baking and Culinary Academy, founded in 1996 by chef and entrepreneur Elisabeth Siahaja, has grown into today’s leading baking and culinary arts academy in the region. For over 20 years, thousands of local and international students have trained at and graduated from the academy across our branches in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor, Malaysia.
Through the years, Sugarcraft has earned a sterling reputation as a leading academy offering various internationally recognized certificate and diploma programmes. Our students not only benefit from practical course content and hands-on approach to learning, but also from experienced trainers and state-of-the-art facilities that accord them a seamless transition into the exciting food and beverage industry. With a holistic approach to delivering our programmes and a broad industrial network, many of our graduates have excelled and placed themselves well in the industry in Malaysia and beyond.
Aside from delivering internationally recognized qualification courses, including being affiliated with City & Guilds of London and recognized by the Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia, Sugarcraft also offers lifelong learning and hobbyist courses in baking, cake decorating, barista training as well as corporate culinary team building and cooking classes.
Today, Sugarcraft has further evolved via our regional expansion into Jakarta, Indonesia and continues to be steadfast and committed to providing quality education in baking and culinary arts.
